毎週更新している<a href="/contents/editor/category_849/archives/" target="_blank">おいしい中古車</a>のなかから、ボディカテゴリーごとに2008年度一番人気のあった車の中古車を販売店まで見に行く実録リポートも、あと2回。今回のターゲットは、ミニバン部門で最も注目を集めた<a href="/contents/editor/_8419.html" target="_blank">オデッセイ(旧型)</a>です。<!-- short sentence end --><br />

新型の登場(2008年10月)で旧型オデッセイが値を下げているのはおいしい中古車でお伝えしたとおりですが、新型をキープコンセプトたらしめたのも、旧型の完成度の高さがあったからこそ。ほとんどの立体駐車場に入る全高ながら、低床プラットフォームの採用で、居住空間もしっかり確保。2.4Lのi-VTECエンジンと低い車高の組み合わせで、ミニバンとは思えない走りを披露してくれます。<br />

さて、その旧型オデッセイ。どの物件を見に行こうかと検索していたら、2003年式の2.4M、走行3.8万kmで修復歴なしの物件が109.2万円(しかもディーラー車！)というのを発見！ 善は急げとばかりに、お店のある広島へ飛んできました。

<p>まずはお店の人に挨拶を済ませ、さっそく実車チェック。外装はホイールカバーに擦りキズなどはあるものの、目立つキズや凹みはなし。続いて内装を見たのですが、これがビックリするほどキレイ！ 2003年式の車なのに使用感がほとんどないんです。特にラゲージなどは「使ったことあるの？」と言いたくなるほど。これにはかなり面食らいました。<br />
<br />
これほど状態が良いのになぜ安いのか？ もちろんお店の人に聞いてみました。すると「ナビがないのが大きい(ギャザズのCD＆カセットが付いている)ですね」とのこと。確かにナビ付きの車を探している人は多いでしょうが、すでにナビ付きの車に乗っている人にとっては、そんなことは関係ありません。なぜなら、ナビを移植する可能性が高いから。つまり、今付いているナビを購入する車に移植する予定の人にとっては、ナビなしの物件はメチャメチャお買い得というワケです。<br />
<br />
その他には「今、オデッセイを目玉にしていることと、下取り車という点も安くできる理由の一つ」とのこと。聞けば、展示されているほとんどの物件が下取りというから驚きます。<br />
<br />
そしてもう一つのメリットは保証の手厚さ。1年間･走行距離無制限の「ホッと保証」は車両本体価格に含まれているのですが、さらに2年間延長することができるんです。「ホッと保証プラス」で2年延長すれば、購入から3年間保証に入っていられるわけです。その内容も新車保証と同等レベルで、このオデッセイの場合、金額は3万6456円とかなりリーズナブルな印象です。<br />
<br />
すでにナビをもっている方で、安くかつ安心して乗りたい人にとっては、この物件、かなりオトクじゃないでしょうか。</p>

今の日本の乗用車事情でいうと、軽自動車は当然として、ミニバン、コンパクトカーなどは、圧倒的に国産車が優勢、というか支持を集めている。それに比べセダン勢は？というと、今はやや弱い。<br />

が、セダンはもともと乗用車の基本中の基本。多用途性というと今やミニバンやワゴンの専売特許のようだが、セダンも実はオールマイティな乗用車としての価値が高い。というか、ミニバンの価値は認めるとして、たとえばミニバンはライフステージに対応する車だから、機能性や多人数で乗れることといった価値が不要になったとしたら、余分なものを排除していき、セダンに戻るといった考えはアリだ。<br />

アコードはもともと、輸入車を選ぶようなオーナーが“つなぎで乗る車”などとも言われた。元来ヨーロッパ車的な日本車の最右翼とされた車で、根っから演歌調ではないところがキャラだ。今回の最新型も改めて試乗してみて、いかにも最新のヨーロッパ車を意識した走りの味、作りなどが確認できた。<br />
<br />
対するティアナは、中国など海外の市場もターゲットにしてはいるものの、日本のマーケットにすんなり溶け込んだ商品性が特徴だ。別段“和”を意識したCMになびかされているわけではないが、最大公約数的な日本のユーザーが乗ってまったく違和感のない走りっぷり、快適性など、この車の狙いどころにブレがないのは乗ってみるとわかる。
<h4 class="title2">快適な移動空間を提供してくれるコンフォートなティアナ</h4>
今回の試乗車個体でいうと、アコードはSPORTS STYLEで、エアロアイテムや18インチタイヤなど、スポーティな素性をもつ新型アコードの存在感をさらに引き立てる仕様だった。対してティアナは、ラグジュアリーとは言わないまでも、コンフォートを身上とした車。2台の方向性はまったく別物だったということになる。<br />
<br />
なので、スポーティかコンフォートかの、どちらかにターゲットが絞られていれば、おのずと選択肢は決まる。<br />
<br />
別の言い方で表現すると、1人で乗る機会が多く車を走らせる楽しみを味わいたいならアコードと言えるだろう。足回りやボディのソリッド感はまるでFFのBMW3シリーズのようだし、包まれ感のある運転席も、そんな雰囲気に見合う。<br />
<br />
他方で人を乗せる機会が多い、快適な移動空間であることを重視したいならティアナ。今回の試乗でも、フラットで快適な乗り味が確認できたし、室内のしつらえも、いかにもリラックスして乗っていられる作りになっているからだ。<br />
<br />
いずれにしても、今回の取材で改めて実感したのは“ニッポンの最新セダンもなかなかの実力を発揮している”ということ。日本人として心強く思えるものである。
