世界唯一のロータリーエンジン搭載車。デビューは2003年とあって、初期モデルはかなり安く、140万円以下の物件は200台近く流通。今年3月にマイナーチェンジを行っている。RX-7の印象からピュアスポーツのイメージをもつ人も多いが、観音開きのドアを装備してリアシートの居住性にも配慮されているのが特徴。ガソリン高騰の中、燃費が気になるが、自然吸気でもありかつてのロータリーに比べれば大きく改良されている。中古車では圧倒的に初期型の流通量が多く、このため予算に合わせて選びやすい。走りを求めるなら、唯一6M Tのみを採用した250psのタイプS。ベースモデルと豪華版のタイプEは210psとなり、5MTおよび4ATと組み合わされている。グレードや装備内容による価格の差はそれほどなく、コンディション次第といったところだが、スポーティカーとしては比較的おとなしく乗られたモノが多い。</td>

一度は生産中止となったフェアレディZが2年ぶりに復活したのは2002年。すでにデビュー後6年を経たロングセラーとなり、最安中古車は110万円台に突入している。スポーツカーによくある傾向だが、新車の販売台数は2005年までの初期モデルが圧倒的に多く、その後は減少の一途。この年式ならば新車の半額以下のものも選びやすい。280psを発生する3.5LのNAエンジンは豪快な走りを見せつけるが、ターボモデルが導入されなかったこともあり、かつてのフェアレディZのようにハードに乗られていたり、チューニングが施されている中古車は少ないようだ。エンジンはミッションを問わず全グレード共通だが、スポーツ志向なら6MTのみで、ブレンボ製ブレーキやVDCを装備したバージョンS／STを。ちなみに2003年に追加されたロードスターも、数は少ないながらも半額ゾーンの中古車が出始めている。</td>

ホンダ久々のFRスポーツとして話題を呼んだS2000も、ついにデビュー10年目に突入。値落ちの少ない車の一つだが、さすがに低年式では100万円を切るものさえ登場している。ただし、剛性面で不利なオープンボディでもあり、価格優先で考えるのでなく、展示場で実車を見て判断するのがベター。走行距離の数字よりもまず記録簿をチェックするのがいいだろう。ワンオーナーかどうか、定期点検や消耗品の交換は確実に行われているかなどが、コンディションの判断材料として重要だ。特にS2000の場合、スポーツカーとして走りを楽しんできたか、オープンカーとしてファッション的に乗られてきたかで状態は大きく異なる。まもなく生産中止が噂されているが、このクルマの場合は逆に絶版名車として評価が高まる可能性もある。程度のいい中古車を安く買って楽しむなら今が絶好のチャンスなのだ。</td>

<p>秋は日が沈む時間が夏に比べて早まり、なんとなく寂しげな雰囲気が漂うものです。しかし実際のところ、暑くもなく寒くもなく気持ちの良い季節です。そんなときこそ、ちょっとドライブに出かけて、旅やアウトドアライフを満喫したいものです。というわけで、秋のパートナーに合いそうな上位5位から1位までご覧ください。気になる車は中古車カタログや物件をチェックしてみてください。</p>
<p>第5位はフォードマスタングコンバーチブル(旧型)。本当は現行型をオススメしたいのですが中古車相場が高値安定していて、まだ割安感に乏しいんです。その点、旧型は4人乗りオープンカーなのに、100万円以内でも手にできます。走りこそ現行モデルに劣りますが、一般的に思い浮かべる“アメリカン”なゆったりした雰囲気は旧型に軍配が上がります。スポーツカーとして購入すると、ちょっとガッカリするかもしれません。紅葉ドライブは家族でオープンカー。</p>
<p>第4位はR1(現行)。東京モーターショーに登場したコンセプトカーが、ほぼそのまま市販化されたユニークなデザインが特徴です。軽自動車の枠を目一杯使うのではなく、シティコミューターとして必要なものを揃えた雰囲気です。走りは高速道路でも驚くほど安定していて、軽自動車の新しい時代を感じさせてくれます。秋に限らずR1と共に思い出を作る、ということがオススメしたポイントです。残念ながらスバルは軽自動車撤退。哀愁すら感じさせてくれます。</p>
<p>第3位はマツダボンゴフレンディ(絶版)。オートフリートップと呼ばれる、テントのようなルーフが特徴です。ちょっとしたキャンピングカーです。秋のキャンプが楽しめ、家族のつながりばかりか友達や恋人との距離が縮まることでしょう。基本設計が古いので走りうんぬんは、新しめのミニバンには劣るでしょう。それでも車とともに楽しむというカーライフにおいては、群を抜いたパフォーマンスを持ち合わせています。しかも中古車相場が安い、というのも嬉しいですね。</p>
<p>第2位はボルボXC70(旧型)。ボルボで人気の高いV70をベースに、悪路走破性を付与されたクロスオーバー車です。ステーションワゴンですから荷物はたっぷり積めるし、ちょっとした悪路も走れます。しかもストロークが大きめのサスペンションが、オンロードでは思いのほか快適な乗り心地をもたらしています。荷物たっぷりに出かけても楽しいでしょうし、現地でお土産をたくさん買うのも楽しいでしょう。しかも100万円台で狙えるなんて、いいことずくめ。</p>
<p>第1位は日産エクストレイル(旧型)。クロカンのメリット/デメリットを綿密に精査し、誕生したSUV。100万円以下でこの性能は、なかなかないでしょう。4WDの性能をしっかり確保しながら、乗用車のノリで維持できるんです。長距離ドライブをしてみれば、クロカン性能を有しながらの好燃費に驚かされます。内装にもこだわって撥水加工されたシートや、洗える荷室の床など、アウトドアのパートナーにぴったり。涼しい秋こそ、アウトドアを楽しむ時期かも。<br>
