<h4 class="title2">同じハッチバック＋MTでも性格が如実に異なった</h4>
<font color="red">籠島</font>：この2台ってさ、乗る前は両方ともホットハッチだと思っていたんだよね。でも乗ってみたらずいぶんと印象が違ったな。<br />
<font color="blue">福田</font>：スイフトスポーツは正真正銘のホットハッチ。スポーツ性が前面に出た車。一方のデミオスポルトは、グレードに“SPORT”って名前はついているけれどもっとマイルドな作り。肩に力を入れて運転するのではなく、ラフに楽しめる。同じマツダのロードスターに近い感じ。<br />
<font color="green">小橋</font>：それは走り出す瞬間から感じたね。スイフトのクラッチは切れる部分がずいぶんと手前にあって、つなぐのにちょっとコツがいる。（僕を含めて）普段MTに乗り慣れていない人は最初苦労するかも。デミオは自然につながるから、すぐに慣れたけど。<br />
<font color="red">籠島</font>：デミオは、ちょっと前のフランス車がもっていたような楽しさを感じたんだ。コーナーを曲がるとき、ボディ全体をしならせながら曲がっていくような感覚って言えばいいのかな。対するスイフトは足がしっかりしていて、踏ん張りながらギュワンと曲がっていく感じ。<br />
<font color="fuchsia">高橋</font>：スイフトは本格的でデミオはマイルド。みんなが言う走りの性格の違いはデザインにも表れているね。スイフトは見るからにやる気満々で、280psのスポーツカーに喧嘩を売られても負けないぜっていう雰囲気がにじみ出ている。デミオはどちらかというと、足の速い優等生的な雰囲気。知的さとスポーツ性を兼ね備えている。<br />
<font color="green">小橋</font>：デミオのスタイルは幅広い年齢層に支持されそう。移動中、公園の片隅でちょっと休んでいたんらおじいさんが寄ってきて「これ、かっこいい車だねぇ」って。<br />
<font color="fuchsia">高橋</font>：さっき籠島がコーナーのクリアの仕方の違いを話していたけれど、それって乗り心地にもつながりそう。スイフトスポーツは足回りがしっかりしている半面、硬さもあるでしょう。一方デミオはふわりとマイルド。僕にはチャイルドシートに乗せる子供がいるんだけれど、スイフトだとゴツゴツ感が強すぎてちょっと子供がかわいそうかもって思ったな。お父さんが普段は家族で使って、たまに一人で走りを楽しむっていうのなら、デミオくらいの乗り心地がちょうどいい気がする。もちろん走って気持ちがいいから、妥協してって意味ではなくてね。
<h4 class="title2">スイフトは一つのモデル、デミオは一グレード</h4>
<font color="blue">福田</font>：これまでの話を整理すると、スイフトスポーツはこれ単体で一つのモデルというくらい特徴があるけれど、デミオスポルトはデミオという車種の中の1グレードという雰囲気なのかもしれない。あくまでもデミオというコンパクトカーの延長に排気量の大きいスポーティモデルが存在しているっていう。このキャラクターの違いを考えながら選ぶと、買ってから楽しめるんじゃないかな。<br />
高橋：ではそろそろまとめようか。デミオとスイフト、どっちを選ぶ？<br />
<font color="red">籠島</font>：デミオスポルト。ただ僕はそんなに攻めたりするほうじゃないから、CVTモデルでも十分。もしデミオのスタイルが気に入っているけれど本気で走りたいと思うのであれば、今後出てくるかもしれないマツダスピードモデルを狙うのもいいかもね（写真一番上）。<br />
<font color="green">小橋</font>：僕もデミオ。まずはスタイルが気に入った。そして遠出をする機会も多いので、スイフトだとちょっと疲れてしまうような気がして・・・。<br />
<font color="blue">福田</font>：僕はスイフト。やっぱりMTで走るならとことん楽しまないと！今って排気量の小さな、エンジンをブンブン回して走るような車は数えるくらいしかない。そんな中でスイフトは希少な一台。ただ・・・デミオにオプションで付けられるオーディオの外部入力端子は欲しいところだなぁ。<br />
<font color="fuchsia">高橋</font>：僕はデミオかな。やっぱりチャイルドシートを付けて走るときに足の硬さは気になるから。子供が小学生になればまた違ってくるのかもしれないけれど。<br />

各自動車メーカーは付加価値や個性を与えるため、また販売促進のためにいろいろな他業種とコラボレーション(共同製作)を行っています。<a href="/contents/editor/_2820.html">以前紹介したレガシィ ブリッツェン</a>も『スバル×ポルシェデザイン』によって作られた数あるコラボモデルの一つです。そんなコラボモデルの中でも、“センスがあるなぁ”と思わせるのが、日産とコンラン＆パートナーズ社のコラボによる「プラスコンランシリーズ」です。<br />

コンラン＆パートナーズ社は、ロンドンに本店を構え、世界6都市8店舗でハイセンスな家具やインテリア小物を販売する「ザ・コンランショップ」を展開(日本は新宿・丸の内・名古屋・福岡の4店舗)しています。また、インテリア、プロダクトなどの分野で話題のデザインプロジェクトを多数手がけるなど、そのセンスの高さは世界でも定評があります。<br />

そんなコンラン＆パートナーズ社とコラボした「プラスコンランシリーズ」。そもそもは2003年のモーターショーに参考出展され話題になったショーカーでした。その後、2004年5月から7月の期間限定＋1000台限定で販売され、たった2週間足らずで1000台という限定数に達してしまったほどの人気モデルです。<br />

モデルは大きく分けて2つ。2004年に発売されたキューブシリーズ(キュービック含む)と、2006年に発売されたキューブ、マーチ、ラフェスタです。同じコンランシリーズですが、それぞれのモデルで内装の趣向が若干違っています。2004年のキューブシリーズは、シート色が赤／ベージュのアルカンターラですが、2006年のモデルは専用の赤／ブラウンの本革シートです。ほかにもプラズマクラスターイオンのフルオートエアコンやオートライトシステムなど、デザインだけでなく実用面でもお買い得なモデルとなっています。<br />
<br />
マーチはというと、ボヘミアンスタイルがテーマの花柄シート地(赤／エクリュ)やチタン塗装が施された専用のフロントグリル、ホイールカバーなど、デザイン面で多くの変更が行われています。<br />
<br />
一番オススメなのがラフェスタです。赤／ベージュのパールスエード地のシートは他モデル同様にコンランらしいですが、ラフェスタの“ウリ”とも言えるパノラミックルーフのシェード部分にストライプ柄を取り入れています。普段は開けっ放しのシェードを閉じてもワクワクするような“遊び”があります。このあたりにセンスの良さが感じられますね。<br />
