「スーツの似合うSUVを目指した」と開発陣は言いましたが、確かにインプレッサとほぼ同じインパネが、なぜか少し高級に見えます。素材は同じにしか見えないのですが、なぜだろう？<br /><br />
同じ、といえば足回りも同じです。もちろんこちらはSUVですからセッティングは変えられているでしょうが、インプレッサでの快適な乗り心地の一端を担っていたということで期待です。早速乗ってみました。<br />

なるほど。やはりインプレッサの背を高くした感じです。<br />
たっぷりとしたストロークをうまく使ったしなやかさがあり、コーナリングではしっかりと粘りつつ、シャープなハンドリングが感じられます。<br />
<br />
この辺の回頭性、さすがスバルです。足はしなやかでボディはしっかり、という感じ。もちろんロールはインプレッサよりはありますが、SUVとして考えれば抑えられていて、まったく不安感はありません。これでスキーやスノーボードに出かけて、同乗者から不満が出ることはまずないでしょう。<br />

後席が広くなったのも新型の特徴。<br />
室内長は先代より205mm、後席だけなら110mm長くなりました。また後席の真ん中の座面は、小さいけれど役に立つカップホルダー＆テーブルが隠れています（下写真左）。<br />

またiPodが接続できる外部入力端子が2.0XSとXTには用意されていたり（上写真右はナビとセットオプションの映像＆音声の外部入力端子）、その端子の上のトレーは明らかにiPodなどを載せておけるカタチだったりと、みんなでわいわい出かける用意も万全。<br /><br />
ただし、2Lモデルに4人で乗ると、坂道などで力不足を感じてしまうかも。<br />
実際、富士スバルラインの入口方面へ向かう途中の坂道で、もうちょっとパンチが欲しいと感じました。大きくアクセル踏み込めば、もちろん問題ないですけどね。<br />
残念ながら2Lターボには乗っていないのですが、ターボは十分なようです。大勢でアウトドアに出ることの多い人にはターボをオススメしておきます。<br />
<br />
さて、しなやかで乗り心地が良く、ハンドリングもいい。となると同じぐらいのサイズ、コンセプトの日産エクストレイルと比べてどうなのよ？と気になりますよね。もちろんキャラクターで言えばエクストレイルのほうが、よりアウトドアっぽい感じですが、価格面でもほぼ同じですからね。<br /><br />
というわけで、現在ガチンコ勝負を計画中。結果は後ほどご報告させていただきます。<br />

200ps＋4WDによってもたらされる走行性能と安定性を誇る車たち。カーセンサーnetではこれらの車を「雪上の王様」と呼ぶことにしました。雪上の王様は雪道だけでなく、どんな路面コンディションでも高い性能を見せつけてくれます。<br />

では、どんな車が「雪上の王様」なのか？例えば下に紹介しているのがその一部です。ランエボやインプレッサSTIはWRCで培われた技術がフィードバックされているので、その信頼性の高さは折り紙つき。レガシィB4はスバル伝統の4WDシステム“シンメトリカルAWD”を搭載し、多くのファンによって確固たる地位が築かれています。また、ここに紹介している車以外にも、アウディ伝統の4WDシステム“クワトロ”の名前をグレード名にもつアウディTTクーペなど、登場する車はすべて高い走行性能を有しています。<br />
