この予算でもターボが狙える！ただし多走行車が多いことは覚悟
ツーリングワゴンの中でも圧倒的な支持を得るターボグレード。3代目前期型のGT-VDCは走行制御システム“VDC”やHIDランプなどを標準装備したこともあり、大ヒット。現在は多くの中古車が出回っている。すべての中古車を100万円以内で探すことができるのもうれしい。底値は1998年6月からのAタイプが10万～20万円、1999年5月からのBタイプと2000年5月からのCタイプが20万～30万円となっている。違いはヘッドランプやリアランプの一部スモーク化（ Bタイプ）、ブレーキ回りの強化（Cタイプ）などだ。底値付近ではほとんどが10万km以上走った車になってしまう。少しでも走行距離の少ないものを狙いたいなら、50万円付近のものを見てみよう。走行7万～8万km程度のものが探しやすくなるはずだ。前期型だと5万km未満のものを探すのは難しい。

280psを発生する大人気シリーズ流通量が豊富なので比べて選びやすい
フロントマスクがよりシャープになった3代目後期型（Dタイプ）。GT-B E-tuneIIはそのトップグレードで、2Lターボエンジンは最高出力280ps（ MT車。AT車は260ps）を発生する。走りのツーリングワゴンのイメージリーダーは爆発的なヒットを記録。そのため中古車の流通量も後期型全グレードでもっとも多く、2番目に多いGT-Bリミテッド（限定車）の3倍近くも出回っている。最近、50万円以下の中古車も見つかるようにはなっているが、まだまだ数が少ない上に10万km以上走ったものがほとんど。実質的な底値は50万円台と考えておこう。この予算なら走行6万～8万km台の未修復歴車を探すことも難しくない。100万円まで予算を増やせるのであれば、一番人気の黒で走行5万km未満の未修復歴車という、今だからこそ手に入る好条件の車を見つけることだってできる。

底値の傾向はGT-B E-tuneIIと同様。ただし流通台数は少なめながらもすべての中古車が100万円以内で買えるのは魅力的だ。パワーは十分にもかかわらず、乗り味はいたってマイルド。肩の力を抜いて走りたい人にはターボよりこちらをオススメしたい。

フロントマスクがよりシャープになった3代目後期型（Dタイプ）。GT-B E-tuneIIはそのトップグレードで、2Lターボエンジンは最高出力280ps（ MT車。AT車は260ps）を発生する。走りのツーリングワゴンのイメージリーダーは爆発的なヒットを記録。そのため中古車の流通量も後期型全グレードでもっとも多く、2番目に多いGT-Bリミテッド（限定車）の3倍近くも出回っている。最近、50万円以下の中古車も見つかるようにはなっているが、まだまだ数が少ない上に10万km以上走ったものがほとんど。実質的な底値は50万円台と考えておこう。この予算なら走行6万～8万km台の未修復歴車を探すことも難しくない。100万円まで予算を増やせるのであれば、一番人気の黒で走行5万km未満の未修復歴車という、今だからこそ手に入る好条件の車を見つけることだってできる。

<h5>“モーターホーム”という名の車</h5>

第3回目は輸入車キャンピングカーをご紹介いたします。<br />
これまで国産のキャンピングカーをご紹介してきましたが、
キャンピングカーの本場は欧米を中心とする海外。ですから輸入車のキャピングカーもしっかりチェックしておきましょう！<br /><br />

前回紹介した国産のバンコンは「車」という感覚が強いのに比べて、輸入車のバンコンは「部屋」という感覚が強いのが特徴です。<br />
キャンピグカーは海外では「モーターホーム」と呼ばれていて、見ればその名の通り「動く家」。<br />
例えば備え付けてある家具は豪華だし、シートも車のシートというよりはソファに近く、とても柔らかく弾力があります。
床のカーペットの毛足が長いモデルもあり、まるでマンションの一室を思わせるものもあります。
また、ふかふかのシートはベッドにもなるので、ぐっすり眠ることが出来、車中泊であることを忘れてしまうほどの寝心地を味わうことができます。<br />
国産があれこれ工夫を凝らしながら、職人技でなんとか家具類を詰め込んでいるのに対して、輸入車は家具をドーンっとそのまま入れて、車の中に部屋を造ったような違いすら感じます。もちろん「動く家」というぐらいですから、室内空間は広々していて車内で生活しても窮屈にはなりません。

<h5>輸入車は大きくて国産車は大きいというは間違い！</h5>
<p>
素敵な装備は気になるけど、やっぱり輸入車は大きいし取り回しが良くなさそうだな、と思う方もいるかと思います。<br />
でもちょっと待ってください。確かに広々と感じる室内は国産車より大きいつくりになっていますが、とはいえ比べてみれば国産車とあまり変わりません。<br />
例えば日産 エルグランドの全長×全幅×全高（mm）は<br />
4795×1795×1920(mm)です。また、人気のハイエースは<br />
4840×1880×2105(mm)。
それに対し、例えば左の写真の上から３つめのベース車である、フォルクスワーゲン ユーロバンは4650×1840×1960(mm)。全長はエルグランドやよりも短いのです。ただ全幅があって、家具やシートがおおぶりな分、室内が広々と感じられるだけ。<br />
しかし同じように見えても、左の写真の一番上、ダッジのベース車は5350×2050×2250(mm)と全長が5メートルを超えます。サイズをきちんと確認し、駐車スペースを考慮して選んでください。

<h5>観光バスが行ける所ならどこへでも行ける！</h5>
<p>
駐車場といえば、最近は大型ショッピングモールなど駐車スペースが狭いと集客にかかわるという観点から駐車場も大分整備されています。<br />そのため、輸入車キャンピングカーのオーナーには、普段の生活にもファーストカーとして使っている人も多いのです。<br />
また観光施設、商業施設によっては事前に駐車場に関して問い合わせておけばスペースを確保してくれたり、優遇してくれる場所も多いそうです。<br />
極端な話、人気の遊園地であってもお台場であっても、観光バスが入れる場所であればどこでも行けると考えても良いでしょう。<br />
さらに、キャンピングカーなどは大型車両扱いになるので、普通車の駐車場とは別のところに駐めることになります。例えば、普通車の駐車待ち渋滞があったとしても、その脇をするっと抜けて大型車専用駐車場に案内される、なんてこともよくあります。大きいと、こんなメリットもあるのです。

<h5>キャンプや旅行だけじゃない、新しい使い方</h5>
<p>
今回、取材させて頂いたセブンウエスト アメ車専門店(群馬県富岡市)の小須田 拓也社長のお気に入りのキャンピングカーの使い方をお伺いしてみたところ、意外にも「ある程度行き場所を決めてブラブラすること」という答えが返ってきました。それは例えばこんな使い方。<br />
お台場まで出かけて駐車場に車を停めたら、目の前は海、少し離れた夜景、そこから見える景色がすごい綺麗だったそうです。<br />
そこで、泊まる予定はなかったけれど、せっかくだからと駐車場に駐め、車中泊をすることに。運転をしなくても良いので車内でお気に入りのワインを楽しみながら、翌朝は渋滞とは無縁の時間に帰宅。もちろんホテル代より駐車場代のほうが安いのは、言うまでもありません。<br />
こんな風に特に何かを計画しなくても、行く場所さえ決めてしまえばそれが立派な旅行になってしまうなんて、なんだか素敵ですよね。
