<p>第10位はマツダロードスター(旧型)。新車での購入を検討したことがある人は、中古車では絶対に手を出すべき物件です。ロードスターが体感させてくれる人馬一体感は、日常ではなかなか味わえない快感です。メチャメチャ速いわけではありませんが、ドライバーの意のままに動いてくれる、という点ではロードスターに勝る車はあまりありません。コツコツと自分好みにチューニングしていっても楽しいでしょうし、とにかく趣味としてセカンドカーにはうってつけ。</p>
<p>第9位は日産ラシーン(絶版)。サニーのプラットフォームを使って、都会派SUVのようなデザインに仕上げたのが特徴です。共有プラットフォームでの多角モデル展開の実験だったのでしょうか?デザイン重視かと言われれば、そんなこともありません。立体駐車場にも入りますし、コンパクトながら大人5名が乗っても十分な荷室を備えています。セカンドカーながら実用的で、将来的にはユニークなデザインが見直されるであろうことでオススメしておきます。</p>
<p>第8位はMG F(絶版)。輸入車で、2シーターオープンカーです。あまり見かけないですから、高いのか安いのか見る人にはわからないでしょう。本当にコンパクトなサイズで、誰にでも運転しやすいんです。キュートなルックスですが、ミッドシップされたエンジンを5速MTで操る感覚はスポーツカーそのもの。シフトストロークが大きかったり、若干重たく感じられるボディだったり欠点もありますが、輸入車の2シーターオープンカーを雰囲気で楽しませてくれるでしょう。</p>
<p>第7位はBMW3シリーズクーペ(旧々型)。もう予算50万円で狙える時代なんですね。走りに定評ある3シリーズクーペは車両重量配分50:50を実現させていて、相当な横Gに耐えられる足回りの設計になっています。さすがにゴムブッシュ類のヤレがあるでしょうが、とりあえず走りを楽しみながらコツコツ手を入れていけば趣味としてのセカンドカーになってくれます。MTモデル、ATモデル共に狙えますが、操縦感を味わうなら前者、優雅さを味わうなら後者をオススメします。</p>
<p>第6位はミニ(絶版)。クラシックカーを買う、というイメージでオススメします。新しめの年式だとしても、基本設計は何十年と変わっていません。同じ値段で狙える国産コンパクトカーに比べて、多くの部分が劣っていることでしょう。それでも味わい深さだけは、国産コンパクトカーより遥かに勝っています。まるでゴーカートに乗っているかのようなダイレクト感は、言葉に表せない楽しみがあります。五感すべてを使って車を操るような感覚、きっと長年愛せることでしょう。</p>

<!-- short sentence start -->マイナーチェンジを受けたアキュラ RLは7月から北米で販売が開始されました。RLは日本で9月から販売がスタートしたHONDA レジェンドのベースとなっています。ですから大きさは現行のレジェンドと比較してもほぼ同じ。ただしアキュラRLの、2009年モデルのルックスはマイナーチェンジとは言えないほど大胆に進化しています。<!-- short sentence end --><br />
<a href="/contents/testdrive/_8265.html">TSX</a>（次期アコード）もそうですが、最近のアキュラはルックスに力を入れていることが感じられます。RLは今までのコンサバなイメージから、一際目立つ様なフロントグリルやボンネット、そしてトランクラインもシャープなものへとデザインを変更。18インチのホイールが標準装備で同クラスの高級セダンと並んでも、すぐにRLだと見分けることができるくらいのインパクトがあります。<br />

日本版レジェンドには17インチホイールを標準装備したベースモデルに、RL同様18インチホイールのユーロモデルを加え、全6モデルから選ぶことが可能になっているのに対して、北米モデルはベースモデルの他にナビを装備したテクノロジーパッケージと、テクノロジーパッケージに追突軽減ブレーキ（CMBS）とアダプティブクルーズコントロール（ACC）を装備した計3モデルとなっています。<br />
見た目と同様に、中身も大幅に変更されました。3.5LエンジンからMDX（レクサスRX＝ハリアー日産ハリアーと競合する高級SUV。先代モデルは一時日本にも正規輸入されていた）でも使用しているJ37A型の3.7L SOHC V6エンジンを搭載し、ついに300馬力台に到達。しかも従来のVTECシステムとは異なり、RLに搭載したJ37A型エンジンからは吸気バルブと排気バルブが共に可変となっています。<br /><br />

車に乗り込み早速ドライブしてみると、どことなく今までのHONDA車の味付けとはちょっと違うことを感じます。最初はなんだかフワフワな気がしますが、いざワインディングで走り込むと、車が自分のドライビングスタイルに馴染んでくれる様に滑らかにコーナリングしてくれます。また、SH-AWDがあるから少しオーバースピードでコーナーに進入しても安心感があります。反面、300馬力になったエンジンは、アクセルを踏んで回転数を上げれば満足のいくものの、街中走行でパーシャルスロットルの時はもう少しトルクが欲しく感じます。<br /><br />
総合的にはハイレベルな車ですが、高級セダンとしてはやはりV8を求めてしまいます。ブランディングの強化を計っているアキュラとしては、将来的にV8を積んだNSXやRLが登場してもおかしくはないでしょう。実際にアメリカンルマンシリーズや、インディーカーで使用しているエンジンはV8であることを考えると、V8エンジンにするのは自然の流れでは、と勝手に期待を抱いてしまいます。<br /><br />
